Measure Then Build is a free collection of calculators for home and yard projects - concrete, landscaping, tile, fences, stairs and more.

The calculators answer the questions you have before a project: how much material to buy, what goes on the shopping list and, where prices apply, a rough cost. No sign-up, no paywall.

How we work

• Each page writes out the main formulas and lists the sources behind them: manufacturer data sheets and building-code requirements.
• We check every calculator against manufacturers' published numbers, such as bag yields or coverage charts, where they exist. We check it again whenever it changes.
• Each page shows the date it was last reviewed.
